Arabesque Folklore Troupe

Founded in 2016, the Arabesque Folklore Troupe is composed of seven advanced dance artists from Toronto's Arabesque Academy. The ensemble is directed by Yasmina Ramzy and perform many styles of Middle Eastern Folklore Dance including, Saiidi, Assaya, Falahi. Ghawazi, Khaleegy, Port Said, Shamadan, Nubian, and Mahragan. The Arabesque Folklore Troupe perform at Carrassauga representing Egypt, at special events for The Nile Association, Canadian Egyptian Club, Canadian Arab Orchestra, Egyptian Coptic Festival, Yalla Barra Stage at Gay Pride, International Stage at the Canadian National Exhibition and many more events featuring the arts and culture of the Middle East.
